Hello!
Today I want to share about this snack food stall called Hapsari. If you live in Surabaya then you must have known or seen its stall around the mall. My friends have been enjoying the snacks here, especially the dumplings , for quite some time. However, not until recently that I finally tried it out and I just fell in love with it.


Like you can see from the photos above. It has various of products from the savory to the sweet food. It also has quite a lot of branches throughout Surabaya shopping malls.


As I told you before, I tried the siaomay first then I loved it! So, I decided to try the tahu bakso too! And guess what? I loved it too! Now, every time I see the food stall, I just couldn't help to buy a treat or two.


If you ever feeling a little bit tired after a long day at the mall, and looking for a delicious snack then you must visit Hapsari! I'm looking forward to check out the sweet snacks they have. I'll definitely tell you about it after I'm done eating it! :D

Hello again! Now is the time to talk about dessert!
I've been craving for these yummy mille crepes at First Love Patisserie ever since my very last visit in February 2016, and I'm so glad I was finally able to enjoy it just recently!

In Surabaya, there are two branch of this lovely patisserie, the one at Ciputra World mall and the other one at Tunjungan Plaza. At this post, I was visiting the one at Tunjungan Plaza. This patisserie is famous for its delicious mille crepe cakes, and I couldn't agree more that it has the best ones so far.


My family didn't know anything about this place until I asked them to accompany me eating here at that time. There was this promo to get 2 slices of the mille crepe cake only with IDR 50.000, and you could also get 4 with IDR 100.000 (normal price: around IDR 30.000/slice). At first I only bought two, but then my family members loved it and bought two more! :D


The flavors that I bought were: Green Tea, Oreo, and Belgium Chocolate. If you ask me which one is my favorite, I will not be able to answer it because I love them all so much! It has the kind of sweetness that will make you keep wanting for more, not the other way around. If you never try these cakes then you should definitely check 'em out!

Another day, another story to be told! :D
Let me tell you the story of my very first visit to The Duck King. Yes, I've never visited this restaurant before, because it's one of the high-end restaurants and I'm the type of girl who likes to eat at a more wallet-friendly place. So, why did I come and eat here? Long story short, my mom got a IDR 100.000 dine in voucher at this restaurant. That's why we decided to check this restaurant out and headed to Tunjungan Plaza 5.


It looks quite small at the front, but it's actually spacious enough on the inside. There were two kinds of menu at the table: the big thick book and the one that also became our table mat. As you may have guessed, the food in the book was much more expensive than the other one.


I really enjoy the vibe of the restaurant, especially because of the big windows! Honestly speaking, the city view wasn't that great but it's still nice to see the blue sky. Maybe the view will get prettier at night with the city lights glowing.

Hello again everyone! Sorry, I've been disappearing for quite a while, but now I'm back!
Today I'm going to share with you my experience of trying the hyped Pontianak culinary souvenir called Lamington. It's a business owned by the famous Glenn Alinskie and when it's available in Surabaya I just had to buy some to try.

It's available while the All The Festival market event was held at Galaxy Mall Surabaya during the Easter weekend.


I bought two flavors: Red Velvet and Pisang Coklat:


I love how thick the fillings are, however the cake was quite sticky for me. I enjoy the Red Velvet one more because you can really taste the delicious red velvet flavor. While the Pisang Coklat is mostly chocolate flavor with a just a hint of banana flavor. Sometimes you can even only taste the chocolate flavor. I was quite disappointed since I love banana flavor, thankfully the cake is still delicious anyway. If I got a chance, I would really love to try the original and the green tea flavor too.


Lamington is supposed to be an Australian cake made from squares of sponge cake coated in an outer layer of chocolate sauce and rolled in desiccated coconut (Source: Wikipedia). So, it was quite strange to see it as a souvenir from Pontianak. But, with the late trend where celebrities creating a culinary business for souvenir and mentioned the product as the special product from one particular city, I guess I just have to go with it. Let's see how many products like this will appear in the market, shall we.
