Hello! Let's welcome Monday with a smile again today!
Since it's back-to-work day, I want to share with you this new place that sells chicken wings near my office. It's called Jank Jank!


You can choose to eat on the first floor or at the second floor which has air conditioner. As you can see, we arranged the tables because there were a lot of us at that time. So, yeah, the table arrangement doesn't usually look like that 😂 For me the vibe upstairs was nicer, so we always choose to eat on the second floor (besides the fact that it's colder upstairs too! 😝).

When you come, you can order and pay your food on the first floor, then ask them to bring it upstairs for you. I've visited this place twice so far, and the service was rather slow. So, just make sure to be patient while waiting for your food to come. Maybe they are still new, and trying to get use to it. Here I am hoping for their improvement soon 😀


The taste of the food isn't that bad, it's actually kind of good. I've only tried the chicken wing with Japanese Curry Sauce which I enjoyed. The french fries were also quite a lot even though it looked rather small.


Well, I'm glad that there is a new place to have lunch near my office, because it's been pretty boring to keep on eating at the same places. Definitely will explore more food here!

Hello again, guys!
Just a few months ago, there was a new addition of Japanese restaurant in town, called Abura Soba Yamatoten! It's located in the newest shopping mall in Surabaya, Pakuwon Mall. I've been wanting to check it out the first time it was opened, but I always see lots of people standing and waiting for their seats, even until now.

My friends and I decided to give it a try one day, and the waiter put us on the waiting list for around 15-20 minutes. While waiting we headed to the game arcade next to it and played a little. Then after we came back, our table was being prepared for us, which got me pretty excited, because I've been curious enough about the food here! 😆


Here's how the menu looked like:


While ordering I noticed that they have a special way to eat the soba, and I was eager to try it of course! 😀

You can see on the menu, how the price for each food differentiated into two. In case you don't notice the chili icons, the higher price is for the spicy ones. It made me kind of sad, because I love spicy food, but I didn't want to pay the extra money just to make it spicy. The dilemma of saving money and getting what you want...


My boyfriend, one of my friend, and I shared the soba, since it's quite expensive and I was still quite full at that time. We ordered:


After following the recommendation on how to eat the soba, I ended up with pretty oily noodles. It's delicious though. If you don't really like your noodles to get too oily, then I don't think you should follow the recommendation. The taste was great, yet some of my friends said that they wished the portion would've been bigger. Furthermore, the dumpling tasted just fine for me.



It was such a nice first experience. There might be a second visit, because lately I've been loving eating noodles. Well, I will totally update you here if I eventually visit this restaurant again!

Hello! Happy Sunday, guys!
I still can't believe how I was hating sushi around this time of the year last year. Today, I've been craving for sushi almost every time. I heard about this promo that Sushi Tei had for its Ciputra World branch only. You can eat the sushi at the conveyor for only IDR 25.000/plate! My aunt who knew about this, asked me to have some sushi at the last day of the promotion, and I couldn't be happier! :D


Honestly, I don't really know the name of the sushi that I had, but here are some photos of them!


My favorite sushi that I had at that time was the spicy one. I also enjoyed the one that had tuna, and also the one with chicken in it. Well, I just love them all so much though. Maybe because I've been craving for it for way too long... :D


My aunt, her friends, and I ended up finishing 11 plates of delicious sushi and I was so freakin' full yet happy! If I have to be honest, this was my very first time eating at Sushi Tei. As a former sushi hater, of course you would've never expected me to visit all these sushi restaurants in town, right?
It was quite a nice first experience though. I know it's one of the restaurants with higher price, yet they do have a great service because there were buttons to call the waiters at every table. So, yeah, I was having an amazing sushi night there.

And now I'm craving sushi again while writing this post. Here I am, hoping there will be another promo for sushi soon! Tell me if you know one please! As long as it's in Surabaya area though :D

Dear all mochi lovers in Surabaya, there is this new place in Surabaya where you can get delicious mochi! It's called Vecirio.

I found out about it through my Instagram, and since I love that mochi I used to have in Jakarta, I decided to give this one a try. I told my mom and she was so excited about it too! At first she bought me some from Pasar Atom, because apparently it has a branch there, at the food court to be exact. Then some other days later, we found out that it also has another branch at Pakuwon Trade Center (PTC)!


It has various flavors that make me want to try each of them all. After buying some and try them out, I must admit that it has great taste! I love them all, especially the chocolate flavor and the peanut! I love to eat it especially when the chocolate is frozen from the refrigerator. It's not too sweet and just perfect.


It's been my morning snacks for quite some weeks and I still love munching to it. If you love to eat mochi and currently in Surabaya, then you should check this one out!
